Popular Restaurateurs Open a Place to Eat and Volley
St. Louis, MO …………….John Carroll, part-owner of one of the most famous downtown restaurants Lucas Park Grille, and Larry Fuse Jr. (prominent owner of Lorenzo’s Trattoria), have partnered with two other downtown well-known’s, Beau Reinberg and Tim Van Rhein to develop the newest in hot downtown destinations, W-AVE TACO. This innovative setting is more of a seasonal sensation with a Mexican Beach environment and flair for food with Florida white sand volleyball courts as the main attraction.
In today’s economy, people want and desire relaxation and no one is into worrying about too many upscale factors. Laid-back and trouble-free clothing such as, flip-flops, shorts, and even beachy-bikini tops for the ladies are fitting for W-AVE’s daytime atmosphere. It’s this type of tranquil lifestyle that has taken this destination spot into a level of popularity. W-AVE blends comfort and style with enchanting decadence and lifestyle features including 50 lounge chairs, tiki service bar, menu design by Fuse’s talent, two high-energy volleyball courts and an inviting beachy-lounge area where popular live bands and DJ’s will be heard each weekend.
June 13, 2009 W-AVE TACO will host their official Grand Opening and their First W-AVE TACO Invitational which will include a men’s and women’s team competition for a final round in cash prizes. A Media/VIP reception will begin at 2pm and a public opening at 3pm. Cocktails, food and professional league matches will take place for patrons to experience and join in. Select celebrity hosts will be on hand to enhance the atmosphere as well as mani’s, “summer jelly” pedi’s and reflexology treatments for those who want complete pampering. In addition, anyone who signs up for a league onsite will receive a “summer” swag party item.
W-AVE TACO is setting a tone for Downtown and other recreational facilities by encouraging people to partner and work together to enjoy life, be healthy, and enjoy the outdoors. Leagues have already surpassed the owners expectations with over 55 teams signed on. W-AVE was chosen as one of the 16 locations across the country to host The Barefoot Wine AVPNext competitive men’s and women’s 2v2 league. Additionally, W-AVE is looking to host fundraisers, corporate team-buildings, private parties, and tournaments. The idea behind W-AVE is that you don’t have to be a professional, or play like one, as leagues can consist of any level. There are so few central corridor locations where you can eat, drink and enjoy the competition of sand volleyball outside.
