Apology necessary to our clients.

We must apologize to our clients and make it very clear we would never knowingly work  in conjunction with a company that would treat our clients or potential clients in an unprofessional manner. We have been looking at different brokerages for the past few weeks and will be making a change in the next day. This change will allow us to serve our clients in the way that they deserve and allow them to be treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. We are very sorry that we have lost clients because of behavior that was out of our control and promise to make it up to you if given the chance. Thanks so much for your understanding and patience. Every agent has to find the best fit for them and that can take time, but when you find the right fit, at the right company its always best for everyone involved. We could not be more thrilled  about going to a company with a great team that believes in nurturing a positive and professional work environment. Thank you so much for staying with our team.

  1. Well I’m not going to say I told you so because I can only imagine how exasperating that must have been. I think its a testament to your character though that so many agents from other companies emailed and called you telling you to run as fast as you could to another company. I found out you had already been looking. Smart lady. Now you have companies emailing you asking to meet with you. Your daughter is right about asking agents what they know of a certain company. Can’t wait to see what happens for your amazing team next.

  2. Yay!! Now I can start sending you referrals again because it was not gonna happen when you were there. It’s sad, but true!

  3. I hear your office manager (Kami) is having to take care of something as we speak that they didn’t resolve. I thought companies were supposed to hide their incompetence?! hahaha

  4. Wow! Word gets around fast. Yes, I heard that lots of people already knew our team was leaving and looking around. :)

  5. I’m sorry you had that experience, but every day we draw breathe is a chance and opportunity for learning. I noticed you didn’t name the company and that impresses me as being very professional. I have seen a vast amount of trashing on the internet of agents and brokers and a lot of people name names. I think most people in each respective community is aware of a companies reputation regardless of how much these companies think they are getting away with. Word of mouth is a powerful thing. You have always conducted yourself with the utmost integrity and professionalism and the St.Louis market is damn lucky to have you. Whatever broker you go to has my business and that of my family and friends.

  6. So you’re not going to name the company? Ok I understand why you wouldn’t, but this is my problem with agents protecting one another. This is the first time I have seen your blog. A friend in Ladue told me to check it out because we just moved here and are looking for an agent, but I do not like not knowing what companies to avoid. When a company screws people over there are reviews online about it….in real estate there are hardly any at all. Why is this industry being coddled and allowed to behave this way?

  7. Very well said Dan! Thanks Don, Kristina, and Kelly.

Laurie thanks so much for checking out our blog. No we will not name the company. Any time I as a consumer have had issues with a company I have filed a complaint with the BBB or whatever agency is available that will make my case heard. I think that is where there is an issue for you. Here’s the problem though….this also applies to other companies besides real estate….if they aren’t registered with the BBB or some other company that holds them accountable there’s not really very many places to document your “problem or issues” with a company. I understand your concern! I just received 3 calls yesterday from agents I know ready to “hang up their real estate hat” because they can’t find an honest broker to work for that gets the job done and done right. (Lets also keep in mind that there is a large number of companies that they probably don’t know even exist–its about finding the right one which because of how many there are can take time) Let me assure you though that there are agents and brokers that do care and will do the job right. There are also a lot that won’t and you have the job of sifting through the “smoke and mirrors” to find the great ones. I know it can seem daunting and it would appear you have had bad experiences in the past with realtors. I am very sorry about that, but there are realtors who will change your mind about the profession if you give us a chance. I suggest you look online and check out blogs of realtors in this area. You definitely want someone who isn’t out of touch with this day and age. They need to be online and have a blog or website. When an agent has these things there is a level of transparency that you don’t get with agents that don’t have them. We are not protecting anyone. We just don’t name names in any situation and there are actually reviews out there of agents and companies that you can access, but please take them with a grain of salt. Yes, there are bad agents and brokers we admit that, but I think you should focus on the good that you hear about agents from friends and people you meet. Make sure they have actually sold or bought a house through that agent and ask questions about the experience. Please feel free to ask our team any questions you want. That is one of the reasons we have this blog.

  8. I just heard about this and am thrilled you are gone from that office. I also heard you are being inundated with business. Congratulations! I told you that would happen. Have you heard of that company Zappos? They are known for exceptional knowledge and customer service and that’s what your team is starting to be known for! Your the Zappos of real estate!! You have worked hard to start reaping the benefits of all your hard work and you deserve it. Now to find an honest broker. hahaha
You know that there are people that wish your daughter would get her broker’s license. Just saying. :)
