–you have to use a machete to get to your mailbox because you haven’t mowed the lawn in over two months.
–you use duct tape on your kitchen floor when a tile comes loose.
–you start thinking of alternative ways to heat up water when you realize its time to buy a new hot water heater.
–you refer to your house as “shabby chick” when the paint on the front exterior starts peeling.
–you’ve looked at over 250 houses and you still can’t decide which one you like.
–your idea of “home improvement” is putting a fridge in the garage.
–you’d rather pay off your landlord’s mortgage than your own.
–to you “curb appeal” means sticking a pinwheel in your front yard.
Now the above examples are meant to be silly, but there are people who should not be homeowner’s. At least….not yet. Not only because their credit needs work, but because renting a condo or loft may be better for them. Sit down and make a list of pros and cons and really look at everything that you need or HAVE to have and figure out what living situation looks like the best option for you.
